About Us

What is the Forestville Education Foundation?

The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c) 3 membership organization that raises money and distributes funds to support vital enrichment programs at Forestville School and Academy.

 

Who is the Foundation?

The Foundation is led by a volunteer Board of Directors of up to fifteen (15) members who meet monthly, along with a myriad of other parent, staff, and community volunteers who help throughout the year.

 

Who do we fund? 

Art, music, band, sports, classroom materials, field trips, assemblies, special programs, and more.

What does the Foundation do?

The Foundation raises money through memberships ( parent and community donations), our box tops, dine and donate events, community events such as; bingo night, craft fair, holiday window painting, bake sales, and the talent show. Also through major fundraisers, like our Gala. The Foundation also organizes the harvest fair, staff appreciation luncheon.

 

How can parents request funds for their children's classroom?

Through the Foundation Open Grants Program, teachers, staff, volunteers/parents can apply to receive funds for special projects, programs, or materials.  Applications can be found at the school offices, or by contacting president.foundation@gmail.com.

 

How can I help?

  • Volunteer to help at an event 

  • Help with communications/flyers

  • Write letters, help with mailings

  • Serve on the Board of Directors

  • Solicit Donations

  • Come to the meetings
